reCirculating Food Dryer

Hygienic, integrated and energy effective

reCirculating food Dryer är hygienic, efficient och integrated

Thanks to the efficient air handling, reCirculating Food Dryer uses a relatively small amount of air to dry the material. This results in an efficient process that dries the material to a high dry matter content but still maintains a low energy use.

The process is completely continuous and integrated with the customer’s production to maximize efficiency. The temperature is optimized to reduce the risk of dust explosions but also to be gentle on the material to be dried so it does not burn, lose nutrients or function.

In order to be able to take advantage of nutrients found in residual products from PBFB production in the best way and return them to the food chain, a high standard of hygiene is required. reCirculating Food Dryer has therefore been developed in accordance with current high standards from the food industry. Therefore, reCirculating Food Dryer has been manufactured with a focus on food production even if the material is used as animal feed. In this way, an investment can be made in reCirculating Food Dryer, which is also future-proof. In this way, a suggestive increase in the proportion of materials reused as food can be obtained. ReCirculating Food Dryer has a hygienic design and consideration has been given to:

European Machinery Directive

EN 1935/2004

Fineness

Material selection

Lubricant

Gaskets

AISI 316L stainless steel

CE marking

reCirculating Food Dyer is designed in such a way that the residual products are never exposed to the risk of contamination and can therefore be used for other food products without the need for new raw materials! This contributes to increased sustainability in the food system and reduces waste through reuse. The reduced extraction of raw materials can contribute to reduced land use, deforestation and water use.

As part of the drying process we can also integrate the reCFD to the decanter and pump the semi-wet fiber okara, this is done without diluting of water. The Drying process can be integrated with Milling and Packing or other process steps.

  • Cost effective solution to best possible OPEX and CAPEX
  • Hygienic design and construction according to high food equipment standards to be able to reuse the material for other food applications
  • The process is fully integrated to the facility, this enables the use of waste heat and existing CIP or cleaning systems for CIP/WIP
  • Low energy usage due to the effective use of air and waste heat management
  • Electrical boost
  • Low maintenance
  • Continuous process, no unnecessary stops due to various volumes
  • Optimized temperature – no dust explosion risk – ATEX
  • Accurate control of the residence time, product is dried uniformly
  • The low Frequency / High Amplitude moves the product forward in a step by step uniform manner referred to as plug flow.
  • Gentle on sensitive materials (no friction)
  • Low operating costs
  • Cooling section integrated in dryer
  • Small  footprint
  • Reliable system, less downtime
  • Same basic design that can be implemented at different production sites with different demands on heat source, environmental demands, ambient situations etc – Same Solution for different sites
  • Different machine settings for different receipies controlled multiple energy sources
  • Overall handling and control of Non-Newtonian material control
  • Management and control of Agglomerations material
  • Easy to operate and handover to operations
  • Non-burning of material – Maillard reaction
  • Optional: Automated Washing-In-Place (WIP) System that provides a reliable, repeatable cleaning cycle for processing plants to operate efficiently and cost effectively to meet stringent hygienic practices for sanitary processing. The WIP System utilizes fixed or retractable WIP spray nozzles that are designed specifically to remain in place during production. These nozzles minimizes downtime and increases available production time.
  • The “Shaking” motion plug flow of the fluid bed, allows first-in, first-out drying of products and well-mixed fluidization, which covers the entire spectrum and is able to accurately control the spread of residence time
